Sŵn are delighted to announce the first wave of acts that will be playing at the 7th annual Sŵn Festival. The 4-day multi-venue new music festival will be held this year between Thursday 17th - Sunday 20th October 2013.
Since 2007 Cardiff has played host to the annual Sŵn Festival, founded by John Rostron & Huw Stephens, bringing some of the newest and most exciting local, national and international acts to the Welsh capital.
As previously announced, this year’s Friday headliner at Cardiff University Students' Union's Solus will be Deerhunter, which will be the band’s first ever show in Wales.
Sŵn Festival 2013 has also teamed up with Metropolis Music to offer a few lucky Sŵn Festival-goers the chance to boost their Thursday Sŵn experience with a £2 Top-Up Ticket to see Everything Everything at Cardiff University’s Great Hall, as part of their October headline UK Tour (see separate Everything Everything post for more details).

Sŵn Festival wristband holders gain free priority access to all Sŵn Festival shows (with the exception of Everything Everything), either across the whole festival from Thursday 17th - Sunday 20th October or on individual days. Entry to shows is not guaranteed and is subject to individual venue capacity. Sŵn Festival is an 18+ event.
Along with the first announcement of acts, Sŵn has also re-launched their festival website which will include artist info, features, blogs, videos and news as well as up to date line up and ticket information.
